[Kiipu]

Looks like a Japanese captured Gewehr 1888 Rifle that was converted to a training rifle. The Japanese started converting these rifles as early as 1937 for training purposes.

I purchased a large WWII Japanese arms collection. There are a number of training rifles. Any information would be appreciated.....as I know nothing about them. Thanks, David dbcolts@aol.com

They did (Type 38, Murata's, etc.), however, there were many training companies that made rifles designed for military training only.

C/
