Is there anyone in 2024 who still does ZB 30 semi auto builds? I would love to have one but don't have the expertise or tools to build it out myself.

The ZB30/ZB30J are very similar to the Bren builds, expect for the striker setup is a little different. I know Ice House Manufacturing does Brens, so might be a place to start.

Just heads up, biggest thing with the ZB builds are finding barrels. The ZB26/ZB30/ZB30J barrels are all different in terms of gas ports and extractor cut outs.
The current ZB30J kits that are available do not have barrels and the last ZB30J barrel I saw sold for $2k+.

It seems like parts for the Bren are more plentiful. Do you know how Ice House Manufacturing's build quality is? Is there a ranking of the best Bren gun parts kits builders?

I had Bren MKI and MKII parts-kits assembled as semi-autos by Sean Prasky - Prasky Gunworks.
After almost two years building them, neither gun cycled, the MKI didn't fire a single round and the MKII separated cases almost immediately.
All trust destroyed with Prasky, I looked elsewhere for the fix.

Jim Kelly at Ice House volunteered to take on the challenge of fixing them.
I'll post here with the results. But my I obviously did due diligence second time around and the word on Jim Kelly is universally solid.

They look ok, they just don't go bang.
