Sfc you called it. I would just pick up some 10 rd Thermold mags for the time being.

 

another thing you could do; if you have a hunger for a 10 round steel mag, is take good pictures of how the mag is suppose to be block per NJ law, then ask someone who doesn't live in a mag restricted state if they can do that modification on their 20 round mag or buy a 20 round mag and modify it like that to 10 rounds............just a thought

just spit balling here, but might be your mag has a alumium block in it and is riveted to the mag body?

i still say it might be easier to block that 15 round mag of yours to hold 10, have you looked at that at all?

the whole issue with guys saying buy a 20 round mag and block it, is that no company is going to send him a 20 mag in the first place with a NJ address...........which I suspect that is where he calls home

 

And these are not metal but Thermold has 5 and 10 rds

 

Numrich has 20 rd mags. Pricey but a new platform starting point perhaps ?

 

Or maybe you could salvage it and block it to 5, 6, 7 rounds ?

 

Many, many years ago I got the DSA.
IIRC it was $15, but thats a very outdated price & for a repro.
I still have it but its not for sale.

What is the going price for original FAL 10 rd. metric magazines? I have both steel and aluminium ones.

 

Quick answer is that my Commie state is a ball buster about the "permanent" part of a magazine being blocked. Magazine would need to be virtually destroyed in order to unblock, and therefore, reblock them to 10rounds. So a lost cause. Just hoped to be able to pick up a shorty or two, but like everything else these days out of stock and out of luck.

 

Block it to a one rounder and be done with it.

 

take a picture of the mag, outside and inside with the follower and spring removed..............I'm sure there is a way someone can suggest a way for you to permanently find a way to block it to 10........... like adding in another block on top of the 15 round block

Yup,thats an option, but one that I'd like to avoid. I blocked several M1a and FAL mags to 15 rounds......then they changed it to 10rds.the 15s are now worthless.

 

I for one don't see why you couldn't block the 15 rounders to 10. I mean you block a 20 rounder to 15, seems like you can do the same thing again

 

Buy standard metal magazines and pin/block them to ten rounds.
