I have a Walther K43 sniper rifle posted on Guns International with all matching numbers, and original furniture with no wear marks. This piece however, has a hairline crack on the dust cover. I’ve been told that this is common on this original rifle. Any comments will be welcome.

Pictures don't really show much else." Very rare, Walther K43 Nazi Sniper Rifle w/Matching K43 Scope for sale "

Only visible serial is the carrier. Stock probably sanded. If I was buying I'd ask the seller for A LOT more pictures of the cartouches and serial numbered parts...
Agreed on wanting more pics. Still, we can tell it’s a d block ac45 with dual guide rails/lugs. Repro mount but that odd 1 digit on the mount is ?? High serial ddx scope. Good looking rifle and if the stock has been sanded it hasn’t been sanded much. That price though! Sheesh. I guess with an original (non-matching to the rifle) mount that price would be about right.

Is this the crack you are referring to? If so, that seems quite substantial. I certainly would not shoot it like that. Firing it with a crack like that in the bolt carrier could end up with it going into the shooter's face.

Thats not a hairline crack. That's a fault line crack. That rifle does not look safe to fire. I'd also be worried about breaking the bolt carrier by just sending the bolt forward.

The stock has been aggressively cleaned and sanded. The mount doesn't look right at all. The bolt carrier is absolutely unsafe to shoot.
The scope is worth $500 with the cap missing, the mount maybe $130 unless it can be proven to be authentic (which I doubt - what are those funky looking circles all about), the rifle with the sanding and abuse done to it maybe $2000 if all parts are matching and if the bolt carrier can be repaired (although I still wouldn't shoot it like that). Even with an unnumbered armorer's replacement bolt carrier the value would not increase significantly. The current asking price would be reasonable if it included a 6-legged rainbow farting unicorn with COA.

another Gleaming example of Junk on auction sites, man you guys got money to burn on junk. If you looked at this and thought it was a good buy or worth investigation further, you should not be buying off auction sites, that rifle is a red flare,

That rifle is unsafe, "repair or replacement" that rifle is no longer a collectible

this is also another Gleaming example as to why you do not shoot these rifles, "but hay its your rifle" now another parts firearm to replace the parts for the ones still being shot, because its cool
