Here's what I see:

  • $0.01 starting bid
  • No minimum
  • No BIN
  • Historical and factual ignorance regarding the Soviet sks
  • Literally ignorant about the meaning of "penultimate"
  • 17,000 sales and an A+ rating

No second shooter here either. And I see no connections to Israel.

Just a successfully endeavoring capitalist with a well established A+ reputation with nearly seventeen thousand satisfied customers. And for $2,000 ... one sucker. Possibly two.

You cant post for sale here. And you dint have enough posts to list in the Trader.

I'm pretty sure AKMaadi's post is a joke. At least I thought it was funny. If anyone here feels that AKMaadi was making a serious offer for sale, in violation of forum rules, let any moderator know and there will be consequences.

I didn't see it as an attempt to sell, besides, his is not worth a penny over $1998.00.

I can't believe im even typing this but life is what it is... Looks like I must part with the pride of my collection... In my opinion, its the nicest Tula in existence...

Honestly, this rifle is beyond "market value" meaning i don't care what current value is, anyone deserving of this piece of history understands the significance and doesn't mind paying what im asking...

I know i should make a WTS ad in marketplace but I haven't been able to bring myself to do it... I'm on a whem, posting this just to get you guys feedback on it... Is this fair/reasonable price for what this is? If anyone serious about getting it, PM me and we'll talk further...

1954 Tula SKS
KBI import, non refurbished, unfired
Complete w/original box and accessories
Golden bayo and nicest stock you'll ever see... I'm gonna ask $2k, not taking penny less...

What a nice original Russian, and the golden bayonet too!

Well shit, didnt mean to start all thst... I guess I didnt do good enough job explaining thst it wasn't a WTS ad but rather a im considering putting it in the marketplace and wanted to get feedback on whether it was reasonable...

My apologies for violating any rules, I would hope that any moderators would understand...

Also, the only reason I crashed this thread with my post was to try and insert what I feel is a 2k SKS for comparison to the OP...

Again, I was not posting a WTS ad... Hopely this clarification can help to avoid any of these "consequences" but whatever...

Should I just delete the post?

It's a nice looking 1954. However , listed for $2000 you'd be asking $1000 too much.

If you look at some of them post, you'll see thst im not some fly by night Facebook gun dork... I am a deeply invested member of our community and have put in a lot of work to contribute to the history and preserving of our interest...

My apologies if thst isn't reflected in 15k mindless 2 word post everyday... I primarily post on another Forum and even then, I dont say much unless I feel its important...

Admittedly, I did feel uneasy about whether or not my post was in good taste or not however, because of the topic I felt the correlation between what the OP spent $2k on compared to what i feel is $2k value was relevant to get some feedback on...

I clearly see that it was not in good taste and has offended some... I was just delete it and move on...

Like I said, from what I see the prices on the SKSs in general are trending down. Admittedly, I have not seen an all original non-refurbed Soviet in the wild in a long time, but I see nice Chinese ones on semi-regular basis for around $500 give or take a few. As a matter of fact, the last gun show I went to had at least half a dozen of original carbines with the cheapest one for $399.

You aren't looking at all the information. Don't be ignorant of the facts available.

Experienced seller said factory finish.
You said the finish was applied post import. One of you is wrong.

At the very least you must admit the rifle was misrepresented.

It has to be 2 suckers not one, otherwise you are implying shill bidding.

Maybe you will expand on why you brought up Israel.

The increased cost of x39mm has brought the price of SKS rifles down.
