Source for 1/4" dovetail rear sights? (hint: not Brownells)

One of the items on my list to improve the Winchester 1906/GECO Modell 1919 Karabiner hybrid is to replace the primitive rear sight. The only problem is that its a non-stand 1/4" dovetail instead of the standard 3/8" here. Brownells carries a lot of rear sights, but not in quarter-inch dovetail.

So I am asking if anyone out there has suggestions. I don't have the equipment to expand the dovetail to 3/8", or conversely, to reduce a sight to 1/4" so those are not options.

You can file the dovetail. It will require a triangular file with one side ground smooth. and
a steady hand. Probably best to practice on a cheap sight.

If you dont mind doing a bubba on that old sight, you could grind it down and silver solder a nice sight to it. Best of luck.

While browsing through his selection, this bit of text caught my eye.

I will make the dovetail a custom size at no extra charge.

So tomrrow I drop off payment and the old rear sight in the mail. I also ordered one of his "Lo-Po" sights for my Marlin '97

Will take pictures when I get it on there.
