Soft gun case for Mosin Sniper Rifle - suggestions?

Pretty mundane question but I am having trouble finding soft gun cases that are long enough for a Mosin Nagant and large enough to fit the rifle with the PU scope attached.
Hard shell cases are too short. Shotgun cases are long enough but not large enough for the PU scope. Scoped rifle cases are too short. At least everything that the local gun stores have on offer. Anybody know a brand or product number that does fit MN with a PU scope?

Thanks

My old black Plano hard case fits fine and does the sniper transport.

I have some old shotgun soft cases long enough for anything, but they don't zip too well with scoped rifles.

I put Grateful Dead and Fender guitar stickers on the hard case so it doesn't frighten the Kalifornians.
That right there is funny. :)

I've found that the cheapo tan Winchester soft cases at Wal-Mart fit a PU reasonably well.

I also have been using soft shotgun cases to transport mu PU, but I do not detach the scope, and I need to bungee cord the case closed around the buttstock. Not an ideal solution.

I have been toying with the idea of building something like the transit cases that were issued for the No.4 Enfield Snipers for my 91-30PU. The case would need to be longer and taller, but the basic internal arrangement of the Enfield case would be a GREAT starting point.

There's a lot that can be said for a 'hard case' which can securely hold and protect the rifle and still have enough internal space to also carry your range tools, your ammunition, your log book, and your cleaning supplies to the range with the rifle.

Unfortunately, I don't have the tools (or the space) to pull off the build.

I have a poot load of soft cases that will hold a PU, or PEM. They are out there. I once used hard cases but discovered it so limited my trunk space so quickly, especially when I would often take 4 rilfles to the range, that soft worked better. Just get a long case made for a scoped rifle. There is a demand and it has been filled if you look a bit.

I spent a lot of time looking and found nothing that would fit my PU that wasn't over $100 at the local Bass Pro and Cabelas stores. Decided to go home and research further. I stopped at Walmart on the way home and they had 52" Allen shotgun soft cases for $10-15 that I realized would fit. I felt like I was cheaping out at the time but the case fit my rifle perfectly and has worked out great for my range trips this year. I like the fact that the interior dimensions almost fit the rifle perfectly, giving it a snug fit that is still easy to slip the rifle into.

I gave up on a soft case as it does not protect the scope in transit.

I am perfectly fine with the long Plano hard case at $19 (and currently same price at Gander Mountain right now)
which I bought 3 yrs ago.

In reality, I move the rifle from the truck to the firing line and back. Not exactly low crawling through the rubble
in Stalingrad. It is not a $200 plus Pellican or exotic tactical hard case but its totally satisfactory for the mission.

IT does protect rifle & scope and that is the bottom line.

If you are the 511 wardrobe & Oakley glasses wearing Yuppie, this case just won't do.

Stalins Ghost: I need some Meat Loaf stickers for this case, if you got any out there on the LEFT COAST to spare.
