I have a newly manufactured Cimarron (Italian made) replica of the Winchester Model 1876 in .45-60 caliber. I'm planning to used this rifle in a long range target shoot to be held this July in eastern Montana. I want to use smokeless powder loads in the rifle. None of my loading manuals list smokeless loads for this caliber and Mike Ventrino only lists black powder loads in his book "Shooting Lever Guns of the Old West". Could anyone in this forum recommend a good smokeless powder load using 300 or 350 grain bullets for the .45-60. I've been working on a load using Trail Boss powder but I don't believe I could get the range from this powder I need for longer range shots with 300 or 350 grain bullets. Thanks
