#4BA is about right for the rear one, though one may have to chase it over with a 4BA tap. There is nothing readily available that will substitute for the front one.

 

found a front guard screw at Sarco. just need to find that rear one now.

 

Theres a few guys in the UK who sell NOS rear screws on ebay.

Also will Ishapore bolts fit the #4 mk1? These are the last two pieces i need to finish mine. Numrich has the ishapore not the smle

No, an Ishapore rifle bolt will not fit in a No4. Two different animals with the bolt head riding the rail inside on one and outside on the other.
An Ishapore is an SMLE but a No4 is not.

 

He is talking about the screws, not the rifle bolt.
Oh, by the way, the screws on the No4 are standard brit threads unlike the smle

 

BTW, the "Inches" used on SMLEs and earlier rifles are "Enfield Inch" and NOT
"Imperial Inch" : there is about 4/10,000's difference between the two.
