I thought my Arsenal 0141 Public Security model may have had some "Bubba"
checkering done, then I noticed similar markings on Triangle26's rifle stock--

His----------- It's a 0141 too and has a kind of beat up stock where as mine is a lot more beat up.

The markings are only on the side shown.
Any idea what caused this? Arsenal 0141 Serial # 240023XX

I've got a PS [0141] as well. It's virtually new but Buuba made it better. When I noticed it in the rack at my LGS, it was in an ATI Monty withe a receiver cover mount, 2 bits gone forever. I did the best I could with what I had on the shelf. Timbersmith wood, Romy sling, Tech Site 200 on a scrubbed cover. Looks OK to the untrained eye but still kinda haunts me, PAX

That guy must have been high on up the ranks in the Public Security agency to own such a fine rifle.😀 I see no bayonet. Mine came with one but had the regular screw in the hole. The mount is a rivet style. It had me fooled. It looks pretty normal and good until you find out the screw just keeps turning like it is stripped. I had to rob a trap door, cleaning kit, and screws, butt plate was underneath, off of another stock cause this was on it---------------

I have a rifle with that CAPCO dealer optioned slip on/screw on recoil pad and black Naval sling, a Navy Arms Cowboys Companion. I swapped out the Redstar 2.5 scope for a Leapers fixed 4X28. The T89 mount has a left off set, I added an offset Blackhawk cheek riser too, so it snaps right up there.
Then there's a KSI Hunter with the shorter CAPCO screw on pad (very rare in wood without the "Westcoast Rail"). That one has an optioned NSTAR brake too, I put on a Romy sling, they just look too boss, PAX
