Simpsons last big shipment of 1700 consignment guns has around 800 Husqvarna rifles, most of which show a lot of wear and use but there are some gems mixed in also. Most are centerfire 46s, 640s and 1640s and I found one this afternoon which is one of their later models without the claw extractor a Model 8000 perhaps in 30-06. When I pick it up I'll take some photos and perhaps a from member will tell me exactly what model it is. I also put my name of a Husky 22 LR single shot in really nice condition of which he has quite a few. Some have octagonal barrels and mine is a round. Robert has always imported Husqvarna rifles but this year has been a banner year for these. I have 2 now with claw mounted German optics and the mounts themselves look costly. Now I want to buy one with the short side rail mount and as I go thru them I'm sure I'll find one. Never heard of this brand of scope but the optics are crystal clear with the German No 1 reticle. I can see why some are collecting these neat high quality rifles, they are addicting and Simpsons prices are right.

It must be something to look all those over in person; I might have to make the trek out. So those 800 husky rifles have yet to be listed? I picked up one off the last run and was regretting not picking up some .22's, so if those 800 are still getting prepped for sale that'd be great news.

I'd simply be interested in knowing what's happening, presumptively in Sweden, to generate such migration from gun owners' hands there! Legislation, economic, hunting lands closing, Bambi Society Storm Trooper invasion?

So if I understand correctly, Sweden & Switzerland! I knew they were getting tighter in "Der Schweitz". I didn't realize Sweden was modeling any gun laws closely upon EU precedent! Where extensive common land borders, seeming more likely/logical. Not so & surprised concerning Sweden! I didn't realize anything amounting to motivation for "disgorging" huge quantities of long guns from either nation. This Simpson's matter, bit concerning in terms of heralding 'icebergs ahead'! Woah!
If any further light concerning present state of Swedish long gun laws motivating presumed voluntary divestiture, I'd appreciate if someone could briefly outline; such including Swiss laws.
Thanks!
