MG34/42 Ammo Tin Identity?

I have this MG34/42 ammo tin which was sold to me as post WW2, Yugo and priced as such. However, it looks a little different to the other post war Yugo MG42/M53 ammo tins that I have seen in that, despite what the photos look like, the colour is very much a grey, not a green. Also the markings look different to what I have seen on other Yugo ammo tins of this style. This tin has numerous "U" or "n" markings depending which way round you look at them and most are in a circle but some in a square. There is also a "BK" in a circle on the handle and another mark that I can't make out.

I can't see any sign of Waffen Ampt markings on the tin. I did wonder if this particular tin is post war but from somewhere other than Yugoslavia?

Many thanks for any help and advice.

The BK is always a giveaway as a Yugo made piece. The other mark does look isreali but they didn't make it. They bought a lot of stuff from all over.....
You can't depend on colors to tell you where it was made despite each country having some sort of standard colors. Lots of stuff was repainted in the field or the factory ran out of paint, got a bad color batch or whatever. Color is easily changeable.

When Interarmco was selling WWII German machine gun ammo cans (Late 1960's), I bought a bunch of them. They were all different colors. There were sand colored ones, several different shades of green and two which were painted black. All had the Waffen proof marks on them.

Anyone have guidance on how to tell apart the German from yugo and Czech etc ammo cans, most German are obvious especially ww2 era, I have a bunch of pre ww2 ones, some are actually ww1 German with the crown stamp and makers info and sometimes dates. A number of these pre ww2 cans appear to lack any marks on the under the top handle or front/back pulls
