I was a bit curious of what you guys know of the Japanese use of the bugle during WWII. Reading accounts of Japanese tactical actions; it appears it was used frequently before the attack/banzai charge. Did this practice diminish as the war progressed? One internet, bit of information, indicate that the Commonwealth soldiers welcomed the blast of a bugle as a warning signal.
Who would be trained to use this item in a Japanese unit? How many of them?
