Looking at a polish folder on gunbroker, but its made on one of these......Never heard of them before. Any good? When I sell the yugo m70B1 I will be picking one of these up......Want to avoid allied if possible, not happy with the 400 price increase.....Any ideas? Guess I may have to pick up an allied on gunbroker.....Whats the quality like on the allied polish underfolders? Decent? How do they finish the metal parts? Paint or blueing or park?

IMO it's not the best, it's not even in the top 3 :) At one time it was pretty much state of the art but it's not fully heat treated (only around the pin holes and then it's done with a torch), the selector is normally set too low and the mfg'er mark is going to be covered up by the UF'er mechanism. While not the worse it's far from the best today.

Depending on the rifle I would still buy one .I actualy have one the selector lever sits right ..LOL . Alot of AMD63's seem to have been built on them because of when the kits were available .Back in the day before NDS and Joeken and ewbanks were hand in hand .. I have one of them built on one too.

Like everyone stated, at one time they were the best AK receivers out there, compared to what was available. But that would not stop me from buying a rifle built on them, they are still good receivers. I have a AKM, AK74, and a AKS-74U built on them and after countless of thousands of rounds through them, they are none worse for wear. they are a bit thicker then european receiver 1.2mm vs. 1 mm. ejectors are harden along with the axis pin holes.
