To date this rilfe we need to see the other proof marks, namely the crossed sceptres and letters that are the date code.

it looks to be older model...but stock does not look rights at all in most details to identify model...

but markings on right side should be on left...

(Royal, Majestic, Monarch, ?). The serial number is 7BXXX. The attached photos will show the stock to have been previously cracked and repaired with a wooden dowel. The BSA stocks I have seen all have checkering on them. Mine does not have checkering but this may have been removed when the cracked stock was repaired.

If anyone out there has any information about this BSA rifle (shown in the photos), I will greatly appreciate the input.

Very nice rifle indeed, I am envious. The stock configuration does not look original BSA Monarch style from those I have seen in the past, so I do think its not the original factory stock. From memory, these rifles were being sold 1968 to 1975 time frame. I may be off 2 years give or take.

Please make an enlargement of all the stamps on image #7 - I can't make out the crossed scepter date letters.

The crossed scepters seem to appear in photo 012. This marking is VERY small and with a magnifying glass it looks like two crossed scepters (without a crown on top). Reading left to right it reads G (Q?), 2, B, with the number 2 being the bottommost character. Hope this helps.

30-06 witha 7B serial number is a BSA Hunter L.A (Long Action)/Imperial made 1956 - 1964 Total production in 30-06 was 1569. Beautiful quality rifles BSA at their best. Hope this helps.

This is an amazing rifle; I just purchase one in horrible condition but was a great hunter for the gentlemen for the longest time. Mine is actually a couple hundreds numbers different than yours. Thanks for the input and helping me figuring out which rifle it is. Anyone knows whereto get replacement stocks for these puppies ???? The Schnabel tip had an accident I guess with the previous owner and I could live with it but would better without it.
