Good afternoon. I have not posted on this board prior to today. LGS that I frequent had a Hopkins & Allen .22 Scout Rifle on the rack. This thing has been used, abused and then neglected and finally abandoned. Damaged stock, rust, filthy bore, etc. Price was j$75 and had a tag on it stating that "this was a parts gun, non-functional, and no return if purchased."

You got it. I purchased it today and brought it home and disassembled same. Woodwork is off but I am trying to find any information on how to disassemble the action. Have not found any schematic or other posting as to how to best approach this. Found a gentleman on YouTube but he only shows images after he had taken everything apart.

Would appreciate any help or direction. Thanks in advance.

"Thank you so much for the link." I also went to the McCracken Research Center Library and found the blueprints for the H&A 722 action. The one I purchased earlier today is a later model and has the coil springs rather than they flat springs. Just looking at the blueprint I can already tell that the coil spring & insert are out of place. Will delve into that further tomorrow.
