Another annoyance that is minor in the big picture but still frustrating.

I created an account and made some non-firearm minor purchases. Knew what I was getting and was satisfied. But then marketing emails started showing up multiple times a day and it kept getting worse. I finally counted 16 or 18 in a 24 hour period and emailed their customer service asking wtf. Response was if you don't like it unsubscribe.

I unsubscribed.

Emails didn't stop.
Yeah, I sign up anyone I dislike for their emails

I've ordered 2 M1 Carbines from them: A sale-priced (1K & free ship IIRC) "random picked, you get what you get", and an original (barrel & receiver, flip sight, Type 2 barrel band) configuration high-number Winchester for 2K.

The "Sale" Carbine, which I expected to be only suitable for an old jack handle, turned out to be a "B" marked tang Underwood, which was made by Singer Sewing Machine, a high-wood Rockola cartouched stock and a rare early double bevel Winchester trigger housing! Yes, it did have a Type 3 rear sight and bayo lug, but it headspaced fine and the ME was ~1.5, TE of ~1.5 with an excellent bore. The other parts alone almost justify the purchase price.

The Winchester was all Winchester, except for the M2 stock and late Inland handguard, both of which I replaced with an original Winchester WRA-GHD cartouched stock and W handguard which I had in stock. This one also had an excellent bore with a TE/ME of just over 1.0. Good headspace.

Both Carbines had plenty of original finish; dirty, yes, rusty, no.

So, based on my personal experience, I felt I got a fair deal and I've got no complaints.

I wouldn’t recommend most of their current inventory from Ethiopia. The Carcano carbines from Italy have been great IMO. I haven’t spent over 150 on one yet and they All cleaned up very nicely easy takedown fun refreshing the metal and wood. Their Swiss stuff is fine also because it’s almost impossible to find a bad Swiss weapon they took really good care of everything.

Your browser should provide the capability to direct those into the junk folder. The only thing to watch out, is when you do place an order watch your trash bucket and retrieve the confirmation and tracking emails. I will take the opportunity to turn off the dumping until I get my order, then back to trash bucket. This is not only RTI, this is many sellers. I wish I could do this with my paper mail.

Been a customer with them for years. Never purchased a bad weapon, but I do my research though. As for their customer service, it is the worst in the business. I don't know where they found Candace and Kiley, but the owner should fire them immediately.

I quess it goes to show how experience and opinions vary. I got two guns and they were both rather poor but after reading on this forum, as expected. Is that research. I think yes. Will I ever buy again? Probably not. The value is simply not there.

The best part of the whole RTI experience was the service and customer service. Quick ship, packed ok and a very nice lady answered the phone and got me a replacement part. This was 2023. I dont recall any names.

Ive gone 3/4 with the Ethiopian horde from them. All were B grade and 150 or less one m95 had a bulged barrel. 2 good 88/90s with rifling and all the parts. One good m95 long rifle good rifling all very dirty. All Italian and Swiss surplus is good a pretty safe bet.

Yes, I purchased (1) rifle from them, along with a few other non-firearm items. The rifle was exactly what I was looking for, accurately described, and very few available like this (they have only had the one of this type that I seen there), and fairly priced.

I was happy with the condition of this rifle when it arrived. There was not a need to deal with their customer service, so I cannot speak to that.

It is easy for me to understand why people will buy from RTI. It is exactly the same logic that people use when buying lottery tickets. Who knows, you may hit the jackpot, but if you don't, don't blame the clerk that sold it to you because you didn't research the odds.

So are you dismissing the reply just before yours or did you not read it or are you are saying he is lying and made up his response?

Not to derail this thread, but did you ever get around to shooting the Lee Speed? I got (and have since sold) two of the Long Lees from Ethiopia and just like to compare notes.
No. I have plenty of .303, but haven't decided whether it needs downloaded rounds or not.
I did shoot a Snider Enfield last week, that was awesome.

I rolled the RTI Dice and came up with a winner; my 1935 Terni Carcano. For $219 (best of for bore and condition) x I had a harder time finding and buying ammo for it!

My RTI Carcano
They sell carcano ammo on their site now. For what the ammo is, I don't think it's too badly priced for boxer prime re-loadable.
