Saw a pinned barrel seemingly ex military chinese sks arsenal code 974, numbers matching, with bayonet lug but no bayonet, was wondering if that code was something special, and or a link to a place where folks have these codes darned near figured out.

Yeah, come to think about it, there was something strange about that rear cover. Just was thinking I never read about that code referred to, only bad thing about the rifle was a cracked matching number stock near the wrist area, and it looked to have been used some before it was surplussed, rifle was priced, well, seem to remember something about $185.
