How much of a pain is this and how is the best way to do it? I have a bolt that seems to have a weak spring. I have to hit the bullets twice. Is this the spring for it ,is my other question. Thanks.

What ? It is easy to replace springs. Check firing pin protrusion with the Mosin Tool and inspect the firing pin tip to be sure its intact. Use a new extra power one; and then just replace the old one in the bolt with the new one. Factory NOS is 20-21; Wolff is 24 use the 24. Be sure the bolt is cleaned and greased. Then put it back together.
These extra-power striker springs make the striker move faster and hit harder to reduce misfires and lock time. To the shooter, the faster the firing...
The Mosin bolt disassembly is super easy. It was intimidating at first until i got a good idea of how the bolt actually comes together and functions.
