I’m looking to get a better stock for my interwar production C96. The pistol is in great condition. It’s been in the family for decades and it’s been stored in a Chinese made stock. Metal work is crude, wood is some kind of native species that’s orange in color. I’d like to get it replaced with something better. Not sure I want to invest what it takes to get an original stock, especially since I’m no Broomhandle expert. What are the options for reproductions? Anything good quality and more pocketbook friendly?

I found the Lugerman website and his stocks look pretty good. Mauser Broomhandle Stock | LugerMan

Any other worthwhile options out there?

m1 ------- Several years back I bought a repro. stock & harness from SARCO that looks just like the one pictured in Lugerman's add. It is a very nice stock, fits my C96 very well and attaches good and solid to the C96. At the time I think I paid somewhere around $85 for the set up. They are still listed in the SARCO pages of "Firearms News" I think now for about $135. I'm happy with mine.
