Beretta 92S in 9x21mm

I have a thing for usual guns in unusual calibers. Here’s an example.
Beretta 92S recently imported from Israel (not the PW Arms ones from Italy) that I just received and mated with a OEM barrel in 9x21mm. Beretta.com recently had these at a discount, along with the locking block kit. Everything went it as if it was meant to be.
Many will ask why on earth I’d bother with a caliber that’s essentially the same as 9mm Para... for me 1) it’s different, and that interests me, 2) I’ll have a source of brass to reform in to .30 Luger. Win win, ha!
Some pics. Thx!

Beretta produces 9x21 barrels for Italian market and many other factories produce 9x21 barrels for their guns only for Italian market.
Older guns are modified by other little factories, like the "Nuova Jager".
The 9x21 was a invenction of Mr. Piscetta of the old "Jager Arms" to deceive the Italian law that forbids the 9 para to civilian and was then copied by the Isrealian IMI.

Correct - it’s an old pistol with a new bbl I installed.

9x21 indeed came around as a way to skirt Italian gun laws, but nowadays it seems they can own/use 9mm para. I think the days of the 9x21 are counted, but I have a feeling Fiocchi will be loading it for a couple hundred more years

Update: I still use this bbl actively. In fact, Winchester just unloaded some 9x21mm 124 gr FMJ on the market for under 9x19mm prices, so I complemented my PPU stash. It’s been a couple of years since I got this bbl and have been very successful in using the brass to make 30 Luger. Today I tried the bbl in a Girsan Regard (with the Girsan block) and all worked great.
