why would any intelligent shooter go backwards ??
and spend money to do it ?

 

I agree. I've always wondered if someone could re-figure these 9x18 pistol chambers and mags to handle the 9mm Luger round. But, I'm sure if it could be done safely, it would have been by now.

 

If you had other guns in .380, it might be good.

 

i have 380's, prefer 9mak... prefer p64 over mak sized guns.
i guess part of it is why would you go to the lower powdered 380,
when you can have the more powerful 9mak ?
we are talking 10% or so more energy...significant in
a small self defense round.

 

i'd like to see a 9mak threaded replacement bbl.....

 

Seems like it's aimed at shooters who like the larger selection and in store availability of the 380acp, especially defensive loads. Since I buy almost everything online, I'd stay with the 9x18. To each his own:thumbsup:.

 

Ok, it is now 2022. Russia has invaded Ukraine over a month ago, but even months prior to this ammo imports from Russia are totally banned. There is no more cheap surplus 9x18 Makarov. You will pay premium for Polish or some other former Warsaw Pact 9x18 ball ammo. Now conversion kits to adapt your Polish P64 or P83 pistols to 380acp would make it a more practical option.
