I'm trying to attach the sling to the front swivel of this rifle. What's the trick to getting that button through both slots while the sling is curved through the front sling swivel? Is there a proper sequence? Do you attach the flat part of the button hrough the slot in the leather first and then try to get the rounded button through the other slot, or do you do it in reverse? My fingers are actually raw from trying to force this thing through. Help!

If the leather is stiff and thick, it can be tough. I put the domed side through the back piece, then ease the domed side through the front. Sometimes you can get a grip on the button with needle nose pliers, that helps.

There is a three part tool used in pipe smoking called a Czech. tool. One of the three parts is a little pointed spoon (used to clean out the bowl of the pipe). I no longer smoke a pipe but I find my Czech. tools indispensable for working with slings and bayonet frogs.
