New Acquistion...

Wikipedia: The Browning wz.1928 is a Polish version of the M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle. It was used as a light machine gun by the Polish Military and Polish Resistance Forces during World War II.

Chosen after a competition between similar weapons, the BAR design was modified by FN Herstal to Polish requirements and then license production was in Poland.

There is a two volume book on those. It is Called "Ręczny karabin maszynowy Browning wzór 1928" and written in Polish, published 2021. You could order it here: RKM wz.28 książka .

The book is amazing - despite I can't read Polish (but Google Translator does help with that!) I can assure you it is very well researched, perfectly organized and contains about everything one could know on those. Atop of that, it has tons of period pictures, as well as pictures of every small detail and part you can imagine.

Please, keep it in good shape. Not many of them left. after WW2 they were destroyed both in the west and the east as "non standard".
Some even might still be held somewhere in IDF deep storage. I have seen couple ex Polish Mausers back in collectors market, some marked 7.62
Czech ZB LMG ( see Bren) had more luck.

I can have slightly castrated Thompson or STEN, but not this one ... "evil machine gun"
while STEN has only one part replaced and it is ok civilian semi-auto pistol. :-D
