What year is this 7.62x54r (on stripper clips) going to be? It looks like the Cyrillic "L", but there's no year code for that. Maybe it's the "A" (D in Cyrillic, I think?), which would make it 1953?

Looks like 1946 from the partially defaced markings on the can. Made by factory #188 in Novosibirsk. I shot several cans worth of that ammo years ago and it wasn't on stripper clips. It was sort of dirty ammo and many cases split but it all fired.
I'm quite certain it's on strippers, as the weight is correct, and when purchased from AIM the invoice said 300rds on Strippers. As reference here is a 1946 can I have, also Factory 188; so I think this other can is late 40's to 1951. A 440rd zinc can of light ball will weigh about 24lbs. (440rd Heavy Ball about 26lbs.)
