Saw a reciever marked with the words PURE and the numbers 18 on the top of the reciever. Are any known markings like this? Perhaps Puru or Paraguay?

a '18' marked reciver might be a '1918' marked German Gew 98 receiver. These are pretty common.
Peru Gew 1898 type is marked '1909' on the receiver ring. These are pretty common.
Paraguay Gew 1898 type is marked '1907' on the receiver ring. These are very rare.
