I'd like to hear what people are doing to clean up their guns without destroying it's value. I'd like to clean my collection. I just don't want to trash anything and I'm not familiar with any methods or safe chemicals. Also, how do you steam out the dents? Thanks.

Best way is to buy a newly manufactured rifle!
Seriously....why? Was it found laying in mud? Did it fall into wet cement? Did someone throw up on it?
What is this fascination with trying to restore everything? Rifle has some dings and isn't "clean" from at least 50 years of use. But is it broken? Does it shoot? Never understood the desire to polish every single turd
