I went shark fishing from the beach in front of the resorts . Caught a 3 1/2 foot sandbar shark , a non keeper . A 3 1/2 blacktip , a good eating size . A little 2 footer . Then a a really strong hit and after it screamed about 200 yards of 150 lb test off the reel with no signs of slowing down I had to lock the drag and the line popped like a rifle shot . With about 5 minutes of fishing time left on the last day while picking up my beach stuff I had a good hit on the last rod in . After a 25 minute fight and getting dragged down the beach about 1/4 mile I landed a nice 100 lb 5 foot blacktip . That drew a crowd and a lot of the comments like " I did not know there were sharks out there " .
