Mount on the ring, and a one sided mount on the reciever at the LHS rear ..........the mounts meant for a Mannlicher Schoenauer will fit ,and once were standard with makers ...The bolt handle may need to be modified ,or the scope mounted high .......obviously the clip wont fit from the top any more.

I worked at a gunshop in the 70s that imported a bunch of Mannlicher action sporters from England made on military actions from Romania. How the owner got them through customs back then I don't know. I bought a Chas Lancaster Obendorf mauser .280 Ross safari rifle from him that came in with the other sporters.

Mine had express sights, square bridge receiver, the floor plate lever...the whole package. It had an oval bore which I thought was shot out when I first saw it.

Ammo was not available when I bought it so I sold it on.

I was fortunate enough to live in Scotland in the mid-80s and early 90s. At that time, no one wanted the old rifles because they were in obsolete calibers. I once bought a Westley Richards .318 with scope and 600 rounds of Kynoch ammo for $900. The Lancaster .280 cost me $450. The guy I shared the cottage with had an RFD (brit FFL) so I could basically buy anything I wanted, then get it put on my firearms certificate at my leisure. I had a trunk full of Kynoch ammo. Life was good.
