This is my first post on this site. I'm hoping there might be someone who can help with a few questions.
1. What military rifle this was before it was reconfigured for civilian hunting?
2. What caliber?
3. What is the fair rate for a gunsmith to inspect a firearm? It's been sitting (inside and in a case) since the 70's, so I'd want to make sure that it's safe to fire.
4. If I did sell it, what could I expect to get for it?
5. Also, what do you make of these stampings?
