First off, I want to believe so I am hopeful a rugged , reliable No.32 repro scope is out there to be bought and will endure normal wear & tear and I do not mean a mere 500 rds of use. I mean a few thousand rds of use that fully demonstrates its a well made and trustworthy scope.

I see off and on remarks of those who bought No.32 scopes from Ebay, Gun Parts Corp, Sarco etc and truthfully, the owners aren't documenting a long history of use but human nature seems to force cheerleading the scope they bought. Which really leaves most of us to Discovery Learning and the track record until recently is most who bought Repro No.32 scopes found out the scopes crap out with use...some very rapidly. The last 20 years had not been a burning success story of repro No.32 scopes and I'll extend that to the last 40 years as I've been watching and talking to many who bought and were disappointed.

Where am I going here....who really out there has a repro that he's shot the crap out of...thousands of rounds and its held up well ? If that person exists, please tell us what scope met your expectations of shooting .

If I owned a real No.4 "T", I'd never shoot it with my original No.32 scope. That scope breaks /becomes damaged / inoperable, then I own a Ex No.4 "T" sniper. However if I could put a repro No32 scope on that real No.4 "T", I shoot it relentlessly. I've yet to see a No.4 wear out with mere range use. If you've done it, I'm impressed and envious.

Let’s ask the question in a different way. Show me a real No.32 scope that has had (documented) thousands of rounds shot with it and also show me it’s maintenance history. Let’s create a documented benchmark against which we can measure the repro scopes.

As I think about it , since I’m such a nice guy and for sake of the community I’ll do the work. I’ll be happy to set up a magnetic driven test apparatus that simulates recoil. Just sent me the real no.32 scope , in good condition , and an original mount of course, and I can run the test. PM me for the address… 😉.

Youtuber Riflechair was originally conducting review on the new No 32 Mk3 by RSM, supposedly was supposed to be improvement. I asked him about half a year later and said was having troubles with zeroing... same old story with chinese products.
Having looked at RSM repro zielvier once and finding internals were made with plastic, I would never bet on RSM products.

I don't know where Accumounts gets theirs, but their repro PEM scopes have always been solid in zero from what everyone has said despite the historical inaccuracies.

Going over internet searches, it is funny how there has never been a full conclusion on any repro no 32 scope.
As it stands only solid reproduction scopes are from Hi-lux with their 1903 lines and Spielauers repro german scopes.

I have heard negative reports about RSM scopes but I don’t remember which scope it was. If they have plastic internals I would not waste my money on them and they’re not cheap. My Numrich has held up with about 500 rounds fired. I would shoot it more but my supply of .310 and .311 diameter bullets is limited and I have 25 rifles that use them.

A past thread had some comments from Wheaty.
