So, I picked up the parts grouping off eBay in order to get a rear sight. It showed up in yesterday's mail and I ran off to The Dungeon to fit things up. The "new" sight slides in the dovetail with zero resistance. There appears to be a 'set screw' missing from the base.
Two things:
Is the base supposed to be that loose and depend on the screw to lock things down?
What screw do I need and where can I find it or a suitable replacement? I haven't dug into it hardly at all yet but were the Swiss using the Metric system at that time and perhaps a standard Metric screw might be put in service?
