This “every SA mark is fake” mentality is getting really old.
Since I checked the Ebay link, I got this message later:

Subject: Hot item: SA stamp punch K98.... Get it before it sells out, Leon

Don't lose out on this - there are 49
watchers but only 8 left!

So: only 8 punches left, and 49 people watching. Nothing to worry about.

Any time an SA stamp is mentioned, you have to bring up fakes and say that frauds are rampant. They are not. They are rare. And every time someone has posted one, it’s blatantly obvious.

There are 100x the amount of fakes in German circles and you don’t see people mentioning it nearly like we see it brought up here.
As has been quoted on this forum many times before, "buy the gun; not the story."
For a shooter, an "SA" stamp doesn't make any difference. For a collector, for whom rarity and its perceived value are paramount, comprehensive knowledge of the genre is essential. That knowledge includes knowing the existence of fakery and testing each prospective purchase by its own properties rather than relying on probability statistics.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that the scope mount that attaches in the same location as the rear sight? As in, not permanent?
Yes; NDT = "no drill and tap." On Mausers and the M91-30 the rear sight leaf and spring are removed and a flanged nut is slid in. This retains the scope base along with the original pin.

My eyes aren't what they used to be, so I have installed Badace NDT mounts on my Swedish Mauser, Enfield No 4, Finn M39 and Remington 03.
