Yes, it's a legit Molot export PU sniper. Original scope was replaced during post war refurb with the original scope number lined out and remarked with the new scope's serial number. You can see the Izhevsk "circle C" sniper grade barrel proof on wood line to the right of the crest and the serial number prefix (TK) comes from a known PU sniper rifle block made by Izhevsk in 1944.

To me, it looks like a re-sniper.
Original rifle looks to have been a sniper. The mount is missing rifles serial number. Looks like somebody stamped the scope's serial onto the mount and barrel to try to make it look legit.
I could be wrong....maybe there was some imported that had the wrong rifle serial number stamped on the mount. IDK.

Here's what it should look like, as far as I know.
I do think some mounts were stamped rather than electro penciled; but, the ones I've owned all had electro pencil.

Check out PU mod.1942 sniper rifle | m9130.info for more details on identifying them. Like SSG_Lord said the circle C is also a great indicator of a sniper, as the standard barrel testing mark is a circle k. The accuracy barrels were proofed marked with a circle c. You can tell the scope is original since the screws are not flush and pop out a little bit. Most reproductions are flush. It is hard to tell from the photos but the mount also looks original since it looks like it has the machine marks which most reproductions do not have.

I suspect that the electro pencil serial number is for the rifle the mount was originally mounted too. These PU's were refurbished like most Mosin's that came out of former Soviet storage depots after all. The rifles original scope was replaced by the current scope and the mount came from a different PU altogether, perhaps one that was turned into a Ex-Sniper.

Many of the Molot imported PU examples have stamped numbers alongside the electro pencil.
I have seen several with accidents in the stamping as well, where it looked like refurbishment they clearly picked up the wrong punch and just rolled with it anyways.

It would help however if there wasn't white crap in the numbers to tell better.
Also just a straight image of barrel shank markings.

It'd be interesting if this is a Riga arsenal, like the scope suggests.

You are very welcome. I went through a couple when they were imported about a decade ago (boy time flies). Enjoy the rifle, these things are going crazy $$, hard to believe they were imported for as much as a run of a mill 91/30 goes for +$100 more or so.

This is back when we were all commenting on not liking the markings...

those were the days :)
