I’m curious about the number and name designations that accompanied the various models of Husqvarna rifles built on the 1640 action. We’ve seen model numbers 3000, 4000, 4100, 5000, 6000, 7000, and possibly others applied to these rifles and have seen them labeled Crown Grade, Imperial Grade, etc. Who applied these various designations? Was it the importers or did Husqvarna use some of these numbers and names as well and stamp them on the rifles? The labels 1640 and 1600 have been applied to the longer-barrel and short-barrel rifles on this action, and I assume that these labels were Husqvarna’s.

That's really helpful, Baribal. Thanks for your efforts. It looks, from your summary, that only the 3000 Presentation, H5000, and 6000 Imperial Custom had anything identifying the model stamped on the rifle. Is that the case? As for the Swedish models, did any of them have "1640" or "1600" stamped on them? If not, how were the various models identified for customers?
