I picked up one of these at an auction. I just wondered how many were made. Mine is blued. The prefex is 181 . It also has "OHP" stamped on the back of the receiver where it says "Ruger, Mini 14 o, Cal 223 ". It also has a M-1 Carbine like cut out in the stock . What's that all about ?? Computer is giving me problems with my camera card so no pics. Thanks

It would be unusual for the Mousqueton A.M.D. stock to make its way off of its selective fire French rifle and back onto a Mini-14GB, but that is indeed what it sounds like you are describing. The Mousqueton A.M.D. did not have a bayonet lug.
The GB model is an interesting gun. Even though it was intended only for LE and military sales, Ruger never succeeded in making very many LE or military sales of them. You do see them on occasion. The Mini-14/20GB was the service rifle of the Royal Bermuda Regiment from 1983 – 2015, making it the last-ever semiautomatic battle rifle issued to regular troops by a state military entity. Each soldier was also issued a US M7 bayonet and US M10 scabbard.
Ruger did not sell OEM bayonet lugs as accessories but there are a couple of after-market combo flash hider/bayonet lug devices out there. A picture will help us positively identify what you've got.
