I have a Merkel KR1 premium. I would like to change optics on the rifle but the current MAKuick quick release mount has the low base heights (2.5mm). I would like to purchase the 5mm base. I assume the rings themselves can not be changed, must purchase the entire mount.

I have found the mount in Europe; can the mount be shipped to the USA without complications or is it a "gun part"?

Anyone know of a distributor where I can purchase in USA. I spoke with Merkel USA to no avail. They offered a Weaver substitute.

I believe the mount I need is 5064-30162 ::: 50 (style) 6 (Merkel) 4 (5mm) - 30 (30mm ring) 162 (KR1). Anyone know substitutes that will fit the Merkel KR1.

I appreciate any advice or guidance. Unfortunately I have taxed my limited Merkel knowledge.

Quick self follow up. European manufactures ( MAK and Innomounts ) who make the mounts will not ship the mount to USA.

Merkel USA offered nothing. Styer in Austria did not respond.

On the MAK Flex Quick mounts the rings are interchangeable.

If anyone in the USA has the mounts or just the rings for such I can not locate. I am unfamiliar with other Merkels to know what is interchangeable.

I did find a solution and appreciate all that viewed. Cheers.
