Ran about two hundred rounds through the rifle today.
100 yards.
Best group was 17 inside 7" circle, three bulls eyes out of 25 rounds.
Little wind to 5 MPH and variable.

Got to move the scope forward a bit. Not getting a good view with where I need to lay my cheek.

Got to start over on the zero set up.

Isn't that just AWFUL??
The good thing about it, spent maybe $13.00 for all the ammo!!!!!!!!!

MAs 45 Sling

What can I tell you about the MAS 45 sling? I have one that my late wife bought for me, removed it from the box from France. Each rifle came with two clips and the leather sling, rolled up and tied with a piece of string. The bit about the loop at one end and etc is correct, that is exactly how it looks. I understand that now the 'asking' price for the clips is some $65! Mine has been fired less than a dozen rounds - she wanted to shoot it, I fired it exactly once! It was my understanding these were made in France by MAS using Mauser machines, etc
And best regards,

That's great.
But I shoot mine.
Nice rifle like this needs to be shot. Rare to find a rifle with the weight and accuracy of these things.

Looks like memories like good times just seem to adhere to inanimate objects that somehow touch our lives.
trapperP, you mentioned your Wife, for me it's my Dad.
A simple thing, a Case pocket knife. It's in my pocket right now.
Sorry for your loss!

New Guy here!!!

Just became the proud owner of a MAS 45 .22 LR Rifle.

Someone had removed the rear leaf and added a scope mount.
I purchased a Center-Point scope for it and mounted it.
Took it to the range here in Up State SC the other week. They only had a 100 yard range and there I am with no Spotting scope, only binocs. So, I bore site the thing and load up the three mags I have.
Take my 15 shots at dif. Reticule settings and walk the 100 yards to see what I did.
Not Bad....
Fifth Reticule, two hits on Top of paper. Right min 2".
Fourth Reticule, 5 on paper, in 10" Circle, right on all by min 2"
Third Reticule, 5 on paper, all high by 2" an to the right by min of 2"

NO Wind.
What a FINE shooting rifle. It's in really good shape. Stock has a few indentation marks from where someone put the stock in a clamp of some kind. Standard import mark, and the Serial # F 215**

I would like to get an original Sling for it if they are available.

Comments Welcome!
