I know that this dates to the 1960s, at the latest, but is it one made for wear or tourist junk sold in the port of Aden? The blade actually has some heft while the “Arab silver” is at best very low grade.

Come to think of it, the handle looks like the sign of the cross and I don't see any Islamic references. Perhaps it was made by or for one of the Christian groups in the middle east such as in Iraq.
I thought that the post would be about Cajun cooking...
