Not looking to start a collection of Mosins lol, but I'm interested in owning one of these rifles since they're so respected.
I don't mind paying an addition $100 or so for a hex receiver if it's worth it, but I'm hoping you long time collectors can chime in and let me know if your favorite rifle has a hex or round receiver.

I have built several Mosin Nagants so far, all work flawlessly like original factory builds. Only problem is, now parts are becoming so expensive and in short supply. Hell they made between 37 and 39 million of them. Where's all the parts?, Ordered some from Russian Federation but that is really time consuming. Tried Iraqvet8888, but he never returns emails.

Where's all the Mosin parts? They only produced 37 to 39 million of them and the USA made about 2 million of them. Then you have those money grubbing stripping all the metal off the stocks to drive the prices up even higher. $15.00 for a damn band spring. Come on huh. Don't mind spending for a stock if it has all the metal hardware on it. Won't touch anything that doesn't.

I take pride in all my Mosin Nagant rifles. Try as hard as I can to make sure they all have a full stock and are as close to original as possible with parts available. Getting harder though, don't understand how parts are in such short supply. With so many rifles out there floating around. Can't believe how high prices are going when I know pretty sure that they didn't pay any where near their asking prices. Greed rears it's ugly head once again.

Making alot more then that, was able to retire 6 months ago, but chose to continue to work. I like my job and its challenges even if there are times getting up at 3am for an out of town job is rough.

You seem to think the everyone who sells there guns at market prices is greedy. You are old enough to have bought Mosins when they where $39.95, so you really don't have a reason to complain. I bet you wouldn't sell your mosins for what you paid for them.

As for me, I have never sold a firearm for what I paid for it except to friends. I view them as investments that I can enjoy.

You know nothing about me, I am a Vietnam combat veteran who just happens to like old rifles. Don't take kindly to being taken advantage of. Paid $100.00 for my first Mosin, not that it's any of your business. Your arrogance gives you away. Think you are better than most people. "Making a lot more than that" it's called hubris.

🤣

I seem to remember it was you that was bragging on what you made, but you have been trying to over compensate through this whole thread.

And I didn't ask, nor do I care what you paid for your 1st Mosin. I simple replied to a post you made calling people greedy for selling there Mosins at market value.

Have a good day.
