Help identifying Unit on early M1905 Bayonet sheath.

I’ve been collecting these pre-WW1 US Military Bayonets and I feel fortunate to have found this early sheath, which is in the best condition of anyone I’ve ever had.

Hopefully someone can help me potentially identify what the D2 14 Unit is that’s stamped below the maker and date…maybe Delta Company 2nd Platoon and the 14 is a rack number??
