Anybody here snag this one? I bid on it for what I was willing to pay, but it went for higher (I had figured as much). That being said I could have seen it going for more. If someone here did get it, post up some pictures when you get it! The quality of them from the auction was not the best.

Hunters Lodge said they have some Mexican Mausers with bolts in good condition. You might call them. You have to keep trying on calling, he doesn't return voice mail.

Never ordered from them before as I've heard its a nightmare. Where can you go to se their listed inventory?

They often have an ad in Firearms News (formerly Shotgun News) I've ordered once from them, never again. A while ago I ordered an 1891 Peruvian Mauser which included an extra stock.
Ending up calling them every Friday for over a month; they kept telling me it will be sent on Monday. Finally received a quite rusty action (stock was bad but expected that, extra stock was OK). Everything was rusted, trigger, barrel (bore was horrible); bolt consisted of the bolt body only, no interior parts. Decided to keep it, rather than deal with them any further. Too bad, as they have offered some other items which tempted me.

You can't go see their inventory. You can look at the most recent Firearms News, or maybe the one or two previous, whichever has their most recent ad in it and see some of it. However, in my experience buying 3 Spanish Mausers from them for $300 total plus shipping, (fixer uppers,) the best thing to do is as I said above, call the number and keep calling every day until you get the guy and ask him. I have seen their ads with Mexican Mausers missing bolts, etc., and complete ones. Talking with him when I was looking for my 3 projects, he told me he had some very nice ones with bolts and wanted around $400 at the time. Everyone who deals with them has the same experience: Virtually zero customer support, but your stuff arrives in a couple months. As long as you understand that, you can buy from them. Personally, I would purchase from them again, but I have enough.

I have a thread on here of the 3 HL Mausers I bought. I'll find the link to it if you are interested.

Makes you wonder how these places stay in business.

Not really. They bought truckloads of rifles for virtually nothing, and a broken small ring missing parts sells for $100. I've never seen a post of anyone saying they didn't eventually get their rifle from HL.

I have bought several rifles from HL. Yes you will have a wait of up to 4 months. Just keep calling and talk to Jim. I have always got what I ordered. For the prices I don’t mind waiting. I did buy a Mexican 1931. Didn’t expect a bolt but got one. Very rusty bolt but cleaned up nice. only had to buy a couple minor parts for a complete rifle. Paid $109 I think. One of the best deals I got from them. Decent bore and more accurate than I am! Lol. But keep in mind that if it doesn’t come with a bolt it may be hard to find one. I am told that they are specific to that model. Good luck
