Finnish M28/30 Sako Blank? In a M39 stock?

I’m not really sure what to say about this Rifle other than it is in what I would consider an issued condition. Absolutely minty Rifle. The wood looks to be mahogany and is one piece. The bore is like a very clean mirror. The receiver and barrel have no markings except for a four digit serial number on the left-hand side just behind the rear sights. There also seems to be some kind of thin white bedding below the receiver. This is the second of two M39 rifles I picked up in that collection. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.

Neat rifle. If you take the action out of the stock it will be interesting to see what, if any markings are on the bottom of the barrel, as well as the receiver date.

One piece stock could be an unused 28-57 stock. Those were one piece, IIRC.

I had always wanted to find an M28/30. Isn’t that what Simo Haiya used in the winter war?

Yes.
But early/first Model(no year stamp on top of barrel), no screw adjustable windage on frontsight, basically a m/28 front sight base.
Most of them were later altered to the later version, like mine is.

And his Name is HÄYHÄ. A with two bullet holes above it

Please forgive my ignorance, usually I’m much better at my spelling, but not today. Lol.

There is no such thing as a "sneak" rifle. That's a made up collector idea.

This is likely a Finnish gunsmith item. We don't see it much because the SA didn't send to us but stuff like this is common in Finland on the commercial market. What's the import mark?
