Looking to get some original clips for my red 9 and I understand that both .30 Mauser and 9mm use the same clips. I’ve seen brass ones and regular marked and unmarked steel. Would like to get some original clips but not sure which, and what to look out for in regards to repros or Chinese ones. Thanks.

No, but they do work in the Steyr Hahn 1911 pistols. Usually need some polishing to work smoothly.

5.56mm/.223 stripper clips used to load magazines can be adapted to the C96 as well.
While you PROBABLY can do this, I have tried this and have had little luck with the results.

The .223 chargers do work getting my 7.62X25 brass that I make from worn out, cut-down, 223 cases into my Broom, but the case heads of the 7.62X25 and 9mm ammunition are just slightly too big to fit in the channel of my .223 chargers. They need more 'adapting' than I have been able to figure out.

I'm curious what kind of stripper clips are in this box. 20 rounds of 9x19, on two 10rd stripper clips. I can't think of another pistol that this would be for besides a Red 9, and I've never seen another box. I don't wanna be the one to open it though..
