The the throat piece of the scabbard is pretty rough. But you won't know until you removed it from the scabbard. The crossguard profile is pretty unique and that's the character to tell Shanxi Province made one from other arsenal made ones. I have tested it on the Hanyangs that I have. It fits 1st Arsenal (formally Hanyang Arsenal), 21st Arsenal (formally Jinling Arsenal) very well. But strangely, it has a hard time to try to get on a post war Shanxi Province made Hanyang 88 rifle. Well, it tells you that they are not completely interchangeable. Individual fitting might required. This is the end of this photo sets.

Another Hanyang bayonet. This one is the standard type without the quillon. I found the Hanyang bayonets are usually mislabeled or just not identified at all.

Hanyang bayonets are not listed in any of the English language ID references that I know of. I suspect people don't know what they have.

 

First time I ever saw one. I have an unmarked M95 on my Hanyang.

 

I used a Chilean M95 bayonet as a placeholder till I find this one. Hanyang has short, mid, and long length variants and most them are unmarked. Yours might be a real Hanyang short bayonet.

 

Are there any marking on these bayonets?

I think I posted in the first 4 photos with a yard stick beneath the bayonet to show the measurements. Overall length is 20-1/4 inches and blade length is 15-1/2 inches.
