While Chinese Hanyang 88 rifle is not uncommon in the US market, strangely, Hanyang bayonet is seldom to come by. I have always searched for Hanyang bayonet, short or long, with no success since I got my first Hanyang rifle back in 2021. So after 4 years of searching, finally the wait is over, I got a long one recently from an auction. It's a Shanxi province made, according to a reference from China. The overall condition is very good. Here are the 2 photo sets of it, the scabbard, the throat piece of the scabbard, and what it looks like on a 21 Arsenal Hanyang rifle.

The the throat piece of the scabbard is pretty rough. But you won't know until you removed it from the scabbard. The crossguard profile is pretty unique and that's the character to tell Shanxi Province made one from other arsenal made ones. I have tested it on the Hanyangs that I have. It fits 1st Arsenal (formally Hanyang Arsenal), 21st Arsenal (formally Jinling Arsenal) very well. But strangely, it has a hard time to try to get on a post war Shanxi Province made Hanyang 88 rifle. Well, it tells you that they are not completely interchangeable. Individual fitting might required. This is the end of this photo sets.
