So I bought a beretta conversion of a a 22 trainer a while ago. When I go to shoot it the bullet doesn’t want to extract. I have ha to pull the rounds out with pliers. I have used CCI, Remington, Aguila, Eleey, Fiocchi, and a German brand. All get stuck in the chamber. All the literature I have read says these are 22LR rifles. Properly cleaned the rifle before taking it apart but I just can’t figure this thing out. The cases definitely seem to flare out a bit after I extract them.

Thanks for the reply inspecting one of the cases I noticed a few things. The first being a possible burr opposite the firing pin in the chamber (see picture 2) that dent is on the opposite side of the firing pin. Second thing I noticed. The case itself feels a bit flared out compared to a normal 22LR. Maybe that normal and I don’t inspect my empty 22 brass enough. The 3rd thing I notice is that there is scratches from the chamber all the way around about half way up the brass.

You need to have the chamber & rim swaged by a gunsmith to take any irregularities out of it. Simple task with the right tool.
