Are these 8X57

I have had this as my barn gun for a good while. It’s just a klunker. I have found some not all, 8X57 lock up harder than normal which caused me to wonder. Also due to my ignorance, will any of you tell me about this rifle, which is import marked. Thank You!!

It started life as an Ottoman Model of 1893, originally chambered for 7.65 Mauser. It's had a complete overhaul by the Turks in the 1930s which included re barreling the rifle for the 8x57mm German cartridge.

I am glad to have him even though he is most assuredly not a fan of bad weather. He is my first insideish dog and I am approaching 73.
