Another gsg mp40 stock question

Hey all i got my form 1 approved and i was trying to install a stock and its not going to well.

I got it all assembled together but the push button to fold and unfold the stock doesnt budge at all. It looks like when i put the pin to hold it together prevents any movement. Im not sure if i assembled it correctly or if what i bought is some crap. It’s supposed to be a surplus stock.

Thinking i might have to get an airsoft stock

Are you using an original MP-40 stock assembly? I know certain other original parts don't fit on these . Not sure about the stock.
Aside from the ATI stock, which I had and didn't care for, the one on the AGM airsoft gun does work and locks up tight in the folded position but still has the incorrect straight profile when unfolded.

Yeah i bought an original stock thinking it would be better than an airsoft one since the ati ones are unobtainium. Wasnt sure if i was putting it in wrong or it was a fake stock. I guess even the stocks are not compatible.

Ill see into getting an agm airsoft gun and borrow the stock from that

Looks good. I almost went the Umarex route but the AGM had the solid struts vs these with the grooved inside. Still the exterior profile is much more cosmetically correct than the ATI offering. MFI gun parts makes a replacement stock release button that provides the correct downward angle when the stock is eextended as well as some other more correct parts like the charging handle, safety, muzzle nut, take down pin and front sight hood. Also a vendor on GB has the more correct slotted replacement screws
