Hello, just purchased an AG42/B and was wondering if anyone knew where to pick up some recoil springs?

I have been looking off and on for months and have not found any.

Thanks!

They are not lock nuts . Just a plain plated nut .
Oops! The nut is used to lock the gas port screw in place.

Had a bag of 25 , but all gone now . Sorry !
Wow! Looks like there are more AG42b shooters out there than I imagined.

If/when you get your 12 mm screw and nut, remove the cap screw on the top of the gas block. If it resists, don't force it or you'll cheese the slot. Give it a good soak overnight with penetrating oil if needed.

Straighten out a paper clip and put a slight bend at the tip. Insert this into the hole and feel for the opening of the gas tube. Mark that on the paper clip, or just bend it. That is your reference for the screw adjustment.
Start adjusting the screw to just above the top of the gas tube opening, then test fire with 1/2 turns until the ejected brass lands where you want it. You don't want to block the gas tube too much because hand ejecting a fired round can be a bitch. Bring along a piece of 2x4 and a rawhide mallet to the range. If you need to, give the clip guide a swat.

Midway has a set of Chapman Gunsmith screwdriver blades for $45 . Some with more blades . Price is up to you . I did find out that the rolling block screws have a much narrow slot than most screws and I had to thin the blades on some just to be able to disassemble a Swedish rolling block . You can search the internet for many brands & number of blades to suit your needs .
