1919 Ishapore? Can't find any info

Ishapore doesn't get the love of the other arsenals but only finding one, maybe 2 other results on the whole internet is a bit surprising. It is not a 1949 as it was reworked in 1924. What's the story with these? What's the value? (Assuming matching bolt and stock) doesn't appear to be a wire wrap.

It’s also wearing a post-Independence forearm. They’re not super common, but a wartime date would fetch more interest. Assuming all matching with a good bore, I’d say $500 give or take $50?

There just doesn't seem to be that many outside of India and perhaps a majority were modified into the .410 and issued to the Police. My original and unmolested 1940 Mark III with the green jungle paint. Your 1919 has been converted into a III* but what a great year to have.

It's also missing the Mag cutoff which I'm assuming is a post independence upgrade.
Could be, hard to say with just the information given. I’d want to see the magazine, nosecap, rear sight, bolt & barrel markings. For all we know it could be a modern sporter rescue, but definitely worth looking into, it’s an interesting rifle.

Maybe, but we’ve seen enough various letters stamped on the RH butt socket on “barred-out-star” conversions that I personally would be skeptical of that conclusion, especially based on what little information we even have.
